Complete HMI for smart IVI created in just 9 weeks

Developed together by The Qt Company, a subsidiary of Digia, and the open source Qt Project, the Qt development framework has enabled, in just nine weeks, the creation of a complete HMI for a smart IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment) system. Built for Intel, the system was designed to demonstrate the ease with which highly graphical and interactive interfaces can be incorporated into next-gen motor vehicles.

Device creation framework combines simplicity & efficiency

The Qt Company showcased its Qt 5.4 system for embedded device creation at embedded world, and also demonstrated Qt in action in a range of automotive, industrial automation and IoT applications. Qt was shown as part of a configurable SCADA system, as a rapid prototyping platform for intelligent servo drive systems, and as a back/front end component of an industrial comms network that allows user selection via NFC.

Qt's IoT capabilities to be demonstrated at MWC 2015

During MWC 2015, the Qt Company will be exhibiting with Jolla (Hall 1, Stand 1F40), demonstrating Qt’s capabilities for platform and SDK development in the company’s alternative mobile OS, Sailfish. 3D rendering software module to help study comet 67P

The Qt Company, a subsidiary of Digia, is working with the ESA in order to develop a 3D rendering software module that will be used in the ESA MAPPS planning and analysing tool. First needed in the survey mission currently studying comet 67P by the Rosetta spacecraft, the ESA requires rendering algorithms that can deal with irregular bodies in addition to normal spheroid shaped planets.
