Elektrobit and Renesas Electronics Provide Platform for Next Generation High-End Infotainment Systems
The runtime solution of Elektrobit’s development platform for human machine interfaces , EB GUIDE Graphic Target Framework, has been ported to the Renesas Electronics Corporation R-Car H1. The collaboration enables car manufacturers to use the high-end Renesas chip in combination with the EB GUIDE GTF to utilize the advanced graphical capabilities of the SoC. The carmakers will benefit by a huge acceleration in development processes and will also be able to create cost effective prototypes of future HMI platforms.

The MAX2181 is a highly integrated FM variable-gain low-noise amplifier ideal for use in automotive FM and FM-diversity active antenna applications. The device features an FM signal path, providing 30dB of gain range, controlled by an on-chip power detector. The FM signal path covers 76MHz to 162.5MHz.

TI Technology Fuels Best-In-Class Audio And Car Control In Audi’s Next-Generation Vehicles

Texas Instruments Incorporated today confirmed that Audi’s MIB High system, the next-generation infotainment platform for Audi vehicles, is the first automotive system to incorporate TI’s “Jacinto 5” automotive infotainment processor. Jacinto 5 plays an important role in the new architecture of Audi’s high infotainment systems, which consist of a multimedia applications unit (“MMX”) and a highly integrated radio and car control unit (“RCC”). Among other features, the processor enables feature-rich vehicle interfaces, and vivid digital radio and audio within the RCC unit in Audi’s MIB High system, which debuted in the 2012 Audi A3.
