The R2Coupler ACFL-521xT is optimised for low power systems supporting data rates up to 1MBd, while the ACFL-621xT is optimised for high speed systems supporting data rates up to 15MBd.

Avago Technologies today introduced the ACPL-K30T, an optocoupler-based photovoltaic driver device designed to drive high voltage MOSFET and withstand extreme heat for automotive under-the-hood applications. The device is optimized for use in battery management systems of modern electric vehicles (EV), hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) as well as high-temperature power systems of conventional internal combustion engine vehicles.

New 2.5A smart gate drive optocoupler from Avago

The ACPL-32JT, a new automotive 2.5A smart gate drive optocoupler device, has been announced by Avago Technologies. Enabling isolated power supply in automotive powertrain systems, the ACPL-32JT features an integrated flyback controller supporting regulated output voltage and a full set of fail-safe IGBT diagnostics, protection and fault reporting in support of automotive functional safety requirements.

There are many challenges associated with high-voltage Li-ion battery-stack management in all-electric or hybrid automotive applications. Charge and discharge cycles must be monitored and controlled, and the battery stack, which often delivers voltages of several hundred volts, has to be isolated for safety concerns. Avago Technologies today announces a new compact extended temperature automotive grade optocoupler for use in hybrid electronic vehicles. Avago’s ACPL-36JV 2.5 Amp optocoupler incorporates an integrated desaturation detection and fault status feedback system while offering superior performance over a wide operating temperature range from -40 to +105 degrees-C. The ACPL-36JV is ideal for use with isolated IGBT/power MOSFET gate drives, industrial inverters, AC and brushless DC motor drives, and uninterruptable power supplies.
