Amphenol Industrial Products Group are now offering a versatile connection system that distributes high current DC power in a compact design. Designed to connect wire to wire, wire to board, and busbar terminations, the Amphe-PD series distributes higher currents with less heat than similar-sized connectors on the market.
Compact connection system distributes high current DC power
Global provider of interconnect systems, Amphenol Industrial Products Group, now offers a versatile connection system that distributes high current DC power in a compact form. Designed to connect wire to wire, wire to board as well as busbar terminations, the Amphe-PD series distributes higher currents with less heat than similar-sized connectors on the market.
Giving your connectors some extra protection
Three new ranges of protective caps have been launched by Amphenol Socapex for its circular connectors. These ranges round out the current standard series to provide complete and lasting protection for all MIL-DTL-38999 Series I, II and III, MIL-DTL-26482, RJ Field and USB Field connectors.
Crimp-to-wire connector platform suits automotive use
Amphenol FCI has launched the Minitek MicroSpace Crimp-to-Wire (CtW) Connector Platform. The unique design of Minitek MicroSpace CtW connector platform enables high density (up to 1.27mm) contact pitch while preserving compatibility with the LV214 Severity-2 standard. This makes it a suitable interconnect solution for new and emerging Automotive Electronics applications.
4.3-10 connectors and adapters offer low PIM
Engineered for the wireless market and suited for applications requiring low PIM (Passive InterModulation), Amphenol RF has announced a full range of 4.3-10 connectors and adapters. 4.3-10 connectors offer the same, robust design as 7/16 connectors but are smaller and up to 40% lighter, allowing for much more dense, lighter weight applications.
Heavy duty connection system designed to replace splices
The ATHD series has been enhanced by Amphenol to include stamped and formed contacts for size 12 terminals that are rated to 25A. This heavy duty, single pole, rugged, in-line connection system is designed to replace splices as well as provide power wherever needed.
Medium amperage connection system has an operating voltage of 800VDC
A medium amperage connection system that is rated to up to 70A of continuous current is now offered by Amphenol Industrial Products Group. The ePower-Lite has an operating voltage of 800VDC. Designed for the hybrid and electric vehicle markets, these connectors feature a lightweight plastic shell and compact design to provide both weight and space savings in vehicle architecture.
50Ω MCX connectors perform at frequencies up to 6GHz
An expansion to its line of MCX interconnects has been introduced by Amphenol RF. Recognised for their small package size and dependable performance, MCX connectors are a popular choice among engineers and application designers. The extended line of PCB jacks are available in straight, right-angle, or edge-mount configurations, with options for surface or through-hole mounting.
New facility manufactures connectors and cable assemblies
A division of Amphenol Industrial Products Group, Amphenol Industrial Operations (AIO), has recently opened Amphenol EEC. This new facility, centrally located in Chicago, Illinois, manufactures connectors and cable assemblies that meet the stringent requirements of the Buy America programme.
SMA end launch connectors provide excellent VSWR performance
Amphenol RF has announced a series of high frequency SMA end launch connectors, offering exceptional VSWR performance up to 26.5GHz. Featuring an optimised end launch design with either through-hole legs or traditional slide-on mounting legs, these connectors are suitable as a PCB connector solution for high frequency applications.
PSMP cable plugs designed for 0.141 & 0.86" diameter cables
Amphenol RF announces an expansion to its PSMP interface. Building upon the flexibility of PSMP board-to-board designs, four new PSMP cable connectors are now available. These connectors are designed for 0.141 and 0.86" diameter semi-rigid and conformable cables, providing engineers with choices beyond the current board to board options for this versatile interface.
Pressure sensor range extended down to 500 & 1250Pa
Amphenol Advanced Sensors’ NovaSensor product line announces the extension of the NPA product line to cover the very low pressure ranges of 2” H2O (500 Pa) and 5” H2O (1250 Pa). Utilising NPA packaging platform, Amphenol NovaSensor has designed and incorporated an optimised silicon-micro machined pressure-sensing element to give superior performance for particularly challenging applications, such as HVAC, Respiratory Monito...
Amphenol, Samtec tie up second source deal
Amphenol and Samtec have entered into license agreements for several backplane connector families. Under the agreements, Amphenol will license its intellectual property and detailed design information for the XCede, XCede HD, AirMax, and Paladin families of products.
