Filtering & µAP operation mode for CAN-over-IP Gateway

Peak System has released a software update, introducing Filtering and µAP Operation Mode, for its CAN over IP Gateway range. The PCAN-Gateway product line allows the connection of various CAN busses over IP networks. CAN frames are wrapped into TCP or UDP message packets and then forwarded from one device to another.

Co-operation to enhance CAN/CAN FD portfolio with embedded systems

API enables Windows users to access CAN & CAN FD busses

Enabling 32- and 64-bit Windows programmes to access CAN and CAN FD busses, PEAK-System has released version 4 of the programming interface PCAN-Basic for the company's CAN and CAN FD interfaces. Based on devices of the PCAN-Gateway series, it is also possible to communicate with remote CAN busses via IP networks.

Mini display visualises & logs CAN data

For the visualisation of CAN data, PEAK-System has developed the PCAN-MiniDisplay for assemblies, with an extended operating temperature range of -40 to +85°C. It provides connections to a High-speed and a Single-wire CAN bus. The graphic representation of the CAN data is configured before using the unit and then is performed on a TFT display with a resolution of 320x240 pixels.

Implement a CAN connection in your circuits

Enabling simple implementation of a CAN connection in circuits, PEAK-System will introduce the PCAN-Chip USB stamp module at embedded world 2015 in Nuremberg. CAN FD channel communication is done via the module's USB 2.0 interface, while the actual physical CAN transmission used is determined by the transceiver to be implemented by the developer.

Position and orientation data via CAN

The PCAN-GPS from PEAK-System determines position and orientation data by means of various sensors, which can be transmitted on a CAN bus and logged on the internal memory card. A satellite receiver, magnetic field sensor, accelerometer, and gyroscope are available. The satellite receiver can handle GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, QZSS, and SBAS.

Operate PCIe Mini cards from a low-profile computer

Allowing PCIe Mini and Half PCIe Mini cards to be operated in a computer with low-profile housing, a PCIe-miniPCIe adapter has been introduced by PEAK-System. Alongside a Mini-USB socket and a Micro-SIM card holder, the adapter features a voltage supply of 1.5 and 3.3V for plugged PCIe Mini cards.

APIs target automotive sector

Designed for standardised protocols in the automotive sector, the PCAN-ISO TP, PCAN-UDS and PCAN-OBD-2 APIs have been released by PEAK-System Technik. According to the ISO-TP standard ISO 15765-2, the PCAN-ISO-TP API transmits data packets up to a size of 4095b per CAN message on Windows OSs.
