Low-cost accelerometer targets many applications
Measurement Specialties has unveiled the Model 8101, a compact, low-cost accelerometer designed for general purpose vibration measurement. The new plug-and-play piezoelectric linear accelerometer is available in two dynamic ranges, ±40 g and ±160 g, for use in a wide number of applications, as well as in two measurement directions, either an X- or Z-axis configuration.
Digital pressure sensor operates over 10 - 2000 mBar
Measurement Specialties introduce a new low-power digital barometric pressure sensor module. Operating over an extended pressure range of 10 mBar to 2000 mBar, the compact MS5806 measures just 6.4 mm x 4.0 mm x 2.75 mm. Therefore, the MS5806 suits space-constrained devices including high-end thin watches, adventure and multi-mode watches, fitness gadgets, mobile altimeter/barometer systems and bike computers.
Small profile, rugged digital output pressure sensor
Measurement Specialties has today announced the launch of the 89BSD, a small profile, piezoresistive silicon pressure sensor housed in a rugged 316L stainless steel package. In addition to its backside, headerless design that enables a compact 9 mm diameter, the new sensor is also low cost for budget-conscious applications.
Pressure transducers for demanding industrial applications
Measurement Specialties has today announced the introduction of two new compact, high-performance units for demanding industrial applications, the M7100 and U7100. Featuring high reliability at a low price point, the new IP67-rated pressure transducers withstand high vibrations as well as harsh conditions, such as dust particles, contaminated water and corrosive fluids.
MS45x5HRD Digital Pressure Sensor Modules
Measurement Specialties is set to release to production its new MS45x5HRD high resolution, digital pressure sensor modules. These sensors are a new generation of high resolution digital pressure sensors from MEAS with SPI or I2C interface up to 20MHz.
U7100 Pressure Transducer
Measurement Specialties has just released its new U7100 pressure transducer for high volume industrial, engine and vehicle applications. Offering a pressure range from 0 to 15, up to 150 psi (10 Bar), this rugged automotive grade stainless steel pressure sensor has an operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C and is water resistant up to 1M immersion.
Model 58 Accelerometer for Crash & High Impact Testing
Measurement Specialties has just released the Model 58 accelerometer to production. This sensor is a MEMS DC response accelerometer designed for auto safety crash testing. It is packaged in a rugged housing with a shielded low-noise cable specifically designed for crush zone testing. The Model 58 accelerometer features a full bridge output configuration with a temperature range from -20 to +85ºC. A slight amount of internal gas damping provi...
Measurement Specialties Releases World's Thinnest High-Resolution Altimeter and Barometer Modules
Measurement Specialties releases two new 24-bit ultra-thin digital pressure sensors. These new miniature sensors, with respective heights of one millimeter, were specifically designed for smart phones and other multi-sensor devices.
