The Road to Excellence Championship (RTEC) 2017, the ultimate global competition to find the most talented aftermarket professionals working within Renault Trucks, has raced to an impressive start in the UK and Ireland, with 55 service teams – a total of 197 competitors - now registered to take part.

The UK and Ireland teams join over 5,000 participants worldwide who have registered for RTEC 2017, which is designed to develop teamwork, enhance key competencies and test competitors’ skills to the limits to deliver first class Renault Trucks’ aftersales service.

“We are delighted to be fielding so many high calibre teams from right across the Renault Trucks UK/Ireland network for RTEC 2017,” says Nigel Butler, Renault Trucks UK Commercial Director.

“RTEC is about striving for excellence in all aspects of customer service and the competition provides extra training for participating teams who are determined to be at the very top of their game.”

Following two rounds of exhaustive practical and theoretical tests, the top 24 teams worldwide will be invited in May to the Grand Final in Lyon, home of Renault Trucks, to battle it out for the chance to be crowned RTEC 2017 Champions.

Nigel Butler continues: “We highly value the first class service which delivers long term relationships with our customers, so it’s great to see so many of our dealers in the UK and Ireland rising to the challenge and taking part in what promises to be a closely-fought contest. We wish all of our home teams the very best of luck!”
