Power Plaza’s electric vehicle, Yebbujana won in ‘Korea electric vehicle race’ and their 503.2km driving is listed on Guinness Korea Records as longest drive range.
This race started from Seoul to Busan and sponsored by Korea Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs, Korea Expressway Corporation to celebrate 40th anniversary of Gyeongbu Highway open.

The race started from Seoul toll gate at 10:00am and go to Busan thru Suwon, Ohsan, CheonAn, Daejeon, Daegu, Gyeongsan on Gyeongbu highway. Mr.Kim Soungho (President, Power Plaza) drove Yebbujana for 9 hours except one hour break. The average speed was 60km/h and Mr.Kim accelerated to 120km after he passed Busan. Power Plaza has installed new battery packs as 46kW in Yebbujana 2nd generation and it could have more battery power after complete race between Seoul-Busan. Mr.Kim drove back Yebbujana from Busan to Gyeongsan where is about 100km away.

Upgraded 2nd Generation of Yebbujana has present full carbon top body and gull-wing doors. Full Carbon monorcoque body’s light weight is one of big advantage for this long drive range. This record is beyond Tesla’s 501km on Oct. 2009 and more than any major auto maker’s official range. Nissan Leaf can drive 160km after without recharging and GM Volt has max.480km range. Current Guinness World Records is 1003.18km by Japan EV club in last May but it was under 40km/h average speed in racing-track.

Electric Matiz, converted by Power Plaza also participated in this race and made 402km range record. This race is organized by Korea ET news and they announced this annual event is looking forward to expand as international event with Guinness World Records in 2013.
