Spark partners with BP to prove pioneering UK EV technology
Spark EV Technology has announced a successful collaboration with BP that provided real-world trials which validated its advanced range prediction system for electric vehicles (EVs). Range and time anxiety are key factors holding back drivers and businesses from buying EVs. By delivering more accurate range predictions, based on actual driving style, topography and current atmospheric conditions, Spark’s proprietary technology overcomes the...
EV prototype drive prepares for launch of U5
AIWAYS is poised to embark on what is believed to be the longest point-to-point drive of a prototype electric vehicle ever attempted. The initiative is part of the comprehensive test and development programme for the AIWAYS U5 battery-electric SUV, which will be the first vehicle of its kind to be launched by a Chinese brand in Europe when it arrives in April 2020.
Pump helping commercial electric vehicles keep cool
The Johnson Pump CM100 from SPX FLOW is a magnetically driven, seal-less pump capable of handling dry running of up to 25 minutes for demanding applications. Suited for high pressure or high flow applications, the CM100 provides design engineers and OEMs with reliable, high quality fluid control.
Orange-coloured compounds for high voltage components
The use of the colour orange to identify live, plastic-sheathed components is becoming well-established in electric vehicles, but it is a challenge to develop orange compounds that exhibit high colour stability over the long term. LANXESS has now succeeded in doing just this.
