VIOFO has announced that it is introducing an upgraded and much improved version of its A119 V2, the A119 V3 into the UK market. The A119 V3 heralds a top quality addition to the budget dash cam range, offering consumers good value for money in addition to a dash cam packed with features. The A119 V3 is available from Amazon for an RRP of £99.99 with free delivery.

VIOFO’s A119 V3 dash cam features advanced 5MP IMX355 Sony Starvis sensor and F1.6 7G lens, at 30 frames per second, with WDR, recording at 2K Quad HD+1600P video resolution enabling it to produce images in stunning quality during both day and night.

The camera makes it easy to read license plates and capture incidents with superb clarity meaning that users will be able to provide clear evidence in the event of an insurance claim. Also featuring 140° angle, the A119 V3 prevents a fisheye view but still provides a wide view of the road to ensure that drivers are covered from all angles. The 2" screen allows users to playback video and audio files or toggle camera settings instantly.

With a GPS module, A119 V3 dash camera will record real time speed, time and GPS route in the video file, allowing compatible viewers to display the data on playback. The date and exact time is embedded on to the recorded footage should it be required to provide further additional evidence.

In addition, the A119 V3 dash cam features a much-improved parking mode function with three options available to meet individual needs; Auto Event Detection, Time Lapse and Low Bitrate Recording. When Auto Event Detection is selected, buffered parking mode function will work automatically when an event is detected to record video 15 seconds before the event and 30 seconds after the event.

The Time Lapse function records at a rate of low fps compressed into a long file and Low Bitrate Recording ensures storage space is saved. Using this function means that even when not in the car, drivers can be assured their vehicle is being watched.

If users would like to protect the vehicle whilst parked, a HK3 ACC 3 wire hardwire cable can be purchased whereby Parking Mode can be utilised providing 24 hours surveillance on your parked vehicle. When the engine is off the hardwiring provides continuous power and avoids draining the vehicle’s battery.

The dash cam is very compact allowing it to fit on the windshield without obstructing a driver’s view of the road in any way. Its unobtrusive design also means it will not attract unwanted attention. With a small black 3M magnet, mount removal and placement of the dash cam is incredibly easy and a compatible suction cup mount is sold separately if preferred.

The G-sensor activates the emergency recording mode which records if a vehicle brakes hard or if an accident takes place and the footage will be locked automatically to avoid any accidental overwrites and, with an SD card (sold separately), drivers can store up to 256GB of HD video.  The camera also comes with a loop recording feature that automatically records over the oldest files when the memory card is full to make room for new recordings.

With a built in microphone, auto start/stop and a one year guarantee the A119 V3 really is an suitable choice for drivers who are looking for an affordable yet feature packed dash cam.
