Sherborne Sensors has today announced the release of a flexure suspension, high accuracy servo inclinometer customised for the rail industry.
The LSOC -0147 series precision inclinometer has a wide range of applications in the rail industry ranging from the automation of train control systems, to rail track levelling and rail track bed analysis.
It can also be used to aid track alignment in rail track repairs making rail track condition compliance and monitoring straightforward.

The sensor has a virtually infinite resolution and will withstand mechanical shock in excess of 1500g.

“Sensors used in the rail industry must be able to perform accurately in extremely harsh and aggressive environments including wide temperature ranges, vibration, mechanical shock and electrical noise.

With the LSOC - 0147 we have created a sensor capable of withstanding all of these extremes,” said Mike Baker, managing director, Sherborne Sensors. “The rail industry is enjoying a period of growth and investment and there is great demand worldwide for durable, reliable track that can be built quickly and subsequently maintained whilst ensuring quality and safety of operation.”

Sherborne Sensors can customise any of its wide range of products to conform to specific customer requirements. All Sherborne Sensors’ products are thoroughly tested and calibrated to international standards at the factory prior to shipment and are accompanied by a Guaranteed On‐Time Delivery programme.
