Expanding the company's industry leading SENCITY Rail antenna family, HUBER+SUHNER has introduced two MIMO antennas. The antennas are suited for systems integrators and rolling stock manufacturers keen to incorporate high-speed data hungry applications including on-board internet, fast mobile communications and communication based train control.

Designed to provide the highest speed data and communication links between trains and the fixed telecoms infrastructure, the omnidirectional SENCITY Rail 2x2 MIMO antennas are capable of supporting frequencies of 698MHz-6GHz (including LTE, 2G and 3G for all mobile communication networks worldwide, as well as WiFi 2.4 and 5GHz).

Comprised of two broadband radiating elements in a single compact housing, the omnidirectional SENCITY Rail 2x2 MIMO antennas are available in two different variants: one with integrated GPS/LNA and one without. The antennas have been designed with the same mounting footprint as all existing SENCITY Rail units. This allows users to easily upgrade to 2x2 MIMO.

With an extremely robust design to survive the harshest rail environments, these SENCITY antennas meet the requirements of EN 50155 and the fire safety requirements of EN 45545-2. Additionally, they are protected against exposure to high voltage and current in the event of overhead line failure.
