DC/DC converters suit harsh railway environments

Approved to EN50155 for railway applications, the TEP150WI series of high performance DC/DC converters have been introduced by Powersolve. The converters provide up to 150W from a 4:1 input voltage range up to 160VDC and feature high immunity against surge, burst, radiated and conducted disturbances as well as high resistance to shock and vibration.

The 15 models in the range feature efficiency levels approaching 90% and output voltages from 12 to 48VDC. When operating with a full load, the current characteristic switches from constant voltage to constant current. this allows the modules to be used for battery charging applications.

Designed for harsh environments, the modules operate over a temperature range from -40 to +75°C and are housed in a rugged, sealed, compact chassis or wall-mount metal case.

All models offer protection against over-temperature, overload, short-circuit, reverse input and overvoltage.
