Designed for automotive and railway applications, the PMGS/PCMGS14 series of DC/DC converters has been released by MTM Power. The converters, which are available with a nominal input voltage of 72 or 110VDC, provide an output voltage of 24VDC (12 and 48VDC on request).

Through a series diode, the converters are provided with an input reverse polarity protection. Featuring short circuit protection, the converters operate at a temperature range of –25 to +70°C, have an efficiency of more than 90% and feature an isolation voltage of 1.5kVAC. The converters meet EN 50 155 and EN 50 124-1 safety standards, and EN 50 123-1 EMC requirements. By withstanding interruptions of the supply voltage up to 10ms, the converters also comply with class S2 according to EN 50 155.

While the PMGS converters are suitable for print mounting, the PCMGS converters are suitable for chassis mounting. Both converters are also suitable for DIN rail mounting. The PMGS converters measure 76.0x50.7x22.7mm, while the PCMGS converters measure 10.0x50.8x23.0mm.

Designed for use in devices with Protection Class II, the converters are vacuum encapsulated and maintenance-free. Due to integrated SMD technology, the converters are mechanically and electrically rugged and undergo an automatic piece-by-piece test.
