Built-in 3rd Generation Intel Core processor has been integrated into this robust system, Intel® Core™ i7-3517UE (up to 2.8 GHz) or Intel Core i3-3217UE (1.6 GHz) processor. The tBOX321-870-FL adopts an onboard processor and onboard DRAM which greatly reduces the impact of vibration and shock ideally for railway fields. Especially, it certified with EN50155 / EN50121 for rolling stock, complies with EN45545-2 for fire resistance and power interruption class S2 for power supply stability, greatly advancing the system performance and reliability. The Rail System Testing Laboratory at Hennigsdorf, Germany has validated REO UK’s BW155 range of braking resistors for corrosion resistance against salt mist and water spray as well as dust Ingress protection to IP65. The specific standards that the resistors were tested to are EN60068-2-52 for salt mist and EN60529 for Ingress Protection.

Mitsubishi Electric Corporation announced today that it has commercialized and delivered railcar auxiliary power supply systems that incorporate the world's first silicon carbide (SiC) power modules for actual use in operating trains. Systems now being installed for test operation in new Type 1000 railcars of Tokyo Metro's Ginza Line subway are scheduled to enter commercial operation in June.
