MTA SpA, a leading company in the design and production of electromechanical and electronic products supplied to the main OEMs is offering an intelligent battery terminal to the OEM market.

With expertise acquired over several years of development and production, MTA is now known by the major OEMs for the mechanical technology of its battery terminals. Today MTA has taken a decisive step forward in this kind of product, creating an “intelligent” battery terminal with integrated sensor that can measure the current, voltage and temperature of the battery and constantly monitor its state of charge.

For the algorithm development of the state of charge, MTA has taken advantage of the collaboration with a German research centre and an important manufacturer of batteries. The joint work has allowed an algorithm with a precision of ±5% to be developed, which will then also be able to monitor the health of the battery. This will allow the driver to be alerted when the battery is at risk, with an alert signal directly on the car's dashboard. The battery terminal with integrated sensor belongs to a family of electromechanical products supplementing electronic components, MTA is already producing or engineering. These recent developments show MTA's commitment to offering its customers more and more innovative products, able to meet the increasing performance demands of modern vehicles.
