The UK’s largest automotive trade exhibition, Automechanika Birmingham, has officially opened its doors as it returns to celebrate the thriving automotive aftermarket and supply chain sectors and consider the future of the industry. With more than 800 exhibitors, including over 250 companies exhibiting for the first time, automotive parts distributors, garages, tyre fitters, retailers, dealerships and vehicle manufacturers now have the opportunity to learn about the latest innovations and product launches taking place throughout the aftermarket and supply chain.

What’s more, industry experts will present a comprehensive programme of more than 60 seminar sessions and topical discussions on current industry issues and pioneering technology over the course of the three days.

A number of product launches will also dominate the show as leading automotive companies are set to reveal exciting, innovative plans for the future and the effect upon motorists.

Visitors can attend the new Connected & Digital Technology Zone where the latest automotive technologies will be demonstrated. The area, found in the supply chain zone, stand 6B11, features the latest products set to enable the design, development and manufacture of future vehicles.

For workshops and garages, Automechanika Birmingham has introduced a Workshop Training Zone including live demonstrations and technical talks from industry expert speakers. Visitors can see the new feature in hall 17, stand D20.

The winner of the ‘Garage of the Year’ award will also be announced at the show on 7th June with 13 shortlisted garages going head-to-head to pick up the prize of £1,000.

Simon Albert, Event Director of Automechanika Birmingham, said: “This is the moment we have all been waiting for and we’re delighted to kick off the proceedings and welcome the trade through the doors. We’re expecting a strong attendance and, with a 70% increase in floor space, product launches, the latest technologies and practical solutions all set to be revealed, we’re certain that Automechanika Birmingham 2017 will not disappoint.”

Automechanika Birmingham will be held from 6th to 8th June 2017 at the NEC in halls 6 and 17-20.
