Automotive Insulations will make its debut at IZB, the International Suppliers Fair in Wolfsburg, the home of Volkswagen (Oct 14-16). The biennial event is one of Europe’s leading trade fairs for the automotive sector.   The company will exhibit a vehicle insulated with individually designed rapid prototyped 3D and 2D NVH parts which utilise a range of technologies including thermoforming, drape moulding, cut and seal, die cutting and reaction moulding.

The stand will also include multiple interactive displays which demonstrate the company's capabilities through digital content.

Jim Griffin, MD of Automotive Insulations, will be attending the fair with other members of the team. “The German automotive industry is one of the most exciting and innovative in the world and we are keen to build on the business that we have already established here and in other parts of Europe,” he explains. “This is a great opportunity to meet some of the industry’s influencers, to fly the flag for UK automotive production and to demonstrate how AI’s products can help meet the industry’s need for lightweight materials in vehicle production.2

Automotive Insulations already have a presence in the German automotive market, opening a site under the name Rheinland Insulations (RI) at Hilden near Dusseldorf in 2013. RI manufacture materials for car production in Germany and the UK as well as for the construction and specialist vehicle markets.
