TE Connectivity Expands Electric Vehicle Connection System Portfolio With AMP+

TE Connectivity (TE) has introduced AK 4.3.3, LV215-1 compliant connections and headers for electric vehicles. An integrated internal HVIL optimizes package size and plug and header selections create multiple wire harness assembly routing options.

TE AMP+ high current connectors and headers are designed to meet AK 4.3.3, LV215-1 specifications. The HVP 800 features current carrying capability of up to 250A (continuous) on 50mm2 wire, a wide temperature range and a wide wire range. The touch-proof, 2- or 3-position, AMP+ high current connectors and headers feature 90 or 180 degree plugs and multiple keying options for use in many EV applications. Assembly is simplified with a lever assist for low insertion force.

Also available is a touch-proof 2 position, TE AMP+ low- to medium-current connector and header designed to meet AK 4.3.3, LV215-1 specifications. Under validation for currents up to 40A at 140 degrees Celius and a 4-6mm2 multicore wire range, the HVA 630 connector and 90- or 180-degree header with multiple keying options are designed for use in many EV device applications.
