Breker Verification Systems’ TrekSoC chosen by STMicroelectronics Automotive Products Group

Breker Verification Systems today announced that its TrekSoC software has been selected by STMicroelectronics’ Automotive Product Group (APG) to automate the generation of self-verifying C test cases for multi-threaded system-on-chip (SoC) devices to verify the design of its powertrain engine control unit. (In a separate news release also issued today, Breker announced that it raised $5 million in Series A funding from Astor Capital Group, a private equity fund from Far East Asia.)

Audi Works With Sierra Wireless To Build And Test In-Vehicle LTE Infotainment System

Sierra Wireless today announced that Audi is using Sierra Wireless AirPrime embedded wireless modules to help develop and test an LTE-connected infotainment system. Still in the development and testing stage, the system has been showcased at several industry events this year, including the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in January, and CeBIT in Hanover, Germany, in March. Drive tests were started in late 2011 and are ongoing.

Intertek constructs an on-site e-mobility test lab in Kaufbeuren
Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions for a number of industries worldwide as well as a long-term partner for research, development and testing for component manufacturers and the automotive industry, has constructed an on-site e-mobility test laboratory in Kaufbeuren, Bavaria, Germany. As of now, the laboratory also offers abuse tests and lifetime tests for batteries and battery packs for electric and hybrid vehicles.
