Engineers know that expanding in-vehicle functionality means increasing terminal requirements for devices and modules. Customers wanting to use or already using the Stac64 system for I/O connections can now use HS Stac headers to create custom, ganged multi-bay headers, combining I/O with high-speed signal without expensive tooling investment.

The HS Stac header design creates a unique multi-bay, high-speed connection system to meet growing in-vehicle terminal requirements for devices and modules in automotive and transportation applications.

In addition to cost savings and simplified assembly, this allows customers greater design flexibility and saves application space.

APPLICATIONS

By providing a high-speed interface in a stackable solution, HS Stac™ headers are perfect for the following applications:
• Driver assistance systems/convenience
• Infotainment systems
• Navigation systems
• Stereos
• Telematics

The automotive industry-standard interface known as USCAR-30 supports USB 2.0 requirements and other high-speed technologies including Low Voltage Differential Signalling (LVDS) and Ethernet. HS Stac™ Right-Angle Headers package the USCAR-30 interface found in the HSAutoLink™ family in a rugged, shroud-stackable formation; creating a unique connection system to meet growing in-vehicle terminal requirements for devices and modules.

HS Stac headers are stackable with Molex’s widely deployed Stac64™ headers. Custom multi-bay connection systems, combining high-speed connectivity and the standard Stac64 I/O interface, can be easily created without special tooling. Customers can quickly produce ganged, multi-bay header assemblies to meet a large range of signal and power needs.

HS Stac headers mate with a range of existing HSAutoLink cable assemblies for a complete connection system.
