In the latest incident of car hacking, it has been announced that almost every Volkswagen that has been built since 1995 is vulnerable to cyber crime – a number totalling up to a million cars which includes other models within the VW Group including Audi, SEAT, Skoda, Bentley and Lamborghini.

DoorBird & Volkswagen officially open CES 2016

On January 5th Dr. Herbert Diess, CEO Volkswagen, Sascha Keller, CEO DoorBird and Richard Choi from LG officially opened CES 2016 in Las Vegas with their keynote speech. The keynote included the presentation of the VW electric car which VW uses to demonstrate the clever connection between the IoT and the automotive world of today.

Volkswagen Opens New Vehicle Plant In China

The Volkswagen Group is creating new facilities in the growing market of China. Prof. Dr. Jochem Heizmann, Member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG, who is to be responsible for the new ‘China’ Board of Management function, and Dr. Michael Macht, Member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG responsible for Group production, have inaugurated a new plant for Shanghai Volkswagen (SVW) in Yizheng, Eastern China, together with Hu Maoyuan, Chairman of SAIC Motor Corporation Ltd. The plant is designed for an annual production capacity of 300,000 vehicles.
