Sensor designed for angular position sensing in automotive applications
The dual die 360° angle sensor TLE5012BD from Infineon is designed for angular position sensing in automotive applications such as electrical commutated motors, steering angle measurements or general angular sensing. It detects the orientation of a magnetic field by measuring sine and cosine angle components with monolithic integrated Giant Magneto Resistance (iGMR) elements.

To become better known in the Asian market, Rutronik plans to broaden its business relationships. Rutronik will be the main sponsor for Team HCB-Rutronik Racing at the FIA Grand Prix in Macau together with its partners Yageo and Vishay. The event will take place from 16th to 19th November. Team HCB-Rutronik Racing will also be receiving support from Audi Sport customer racing.

Single seater electric racing car finished on the podium
The e-Tech Racing team, which is supported by Rutronik and consists of almost 50 students from Barcelona University, looked back on a successful 2017 during a sponsoring event held on 14th September. The team competed in numerous races with the electric racing car it unveiled in June and even finished on the podium in the Czech Republic. At the sponsoring event in Barcelona, the students presented an overview of their goals and the milestones achieved this year.

Laser bar eases coupling of light into fibres
Rutronik is selling the SPL BF98-40-5 laser bar from Osram Opto Semiconductors, that thanks to its high brilliance considerably reduces the complexity of coupling light into fibres. Osram has optimised the chip design in terms of beam quality, resulting in a wavelength of 976nm and high brilliance of 3W/mm*mrad at an optical output of 44W. The laser bar is 5mm wide and consists of five emitters, each 100µm wide and each with cavity length of 4mm.

Osram's new MultiLED at Rutronik
Osram Opto Semiconductors presents the new multi-chip-LEDs with a broad bright blue color range. This gives lighting designers a free choice of colors for the interior lighting in vehicles. Color design now covers cluster lighting to an increasing extent, notably in combined instruments such as speedometers and rev counters, in displays, as backlighting for switches and for ambient lighting. Rutronik distributes the MultiLED as of now.

KOA has launched the new wire-wound, unshielded power inductor of the LPC4545 series. The small-sized 4mm inductor (4.1x4.6mm) allows a higher rated DC current and has a lower DC resistance than 6mm inductors. The product is available at distributor Rutronik as of now.

Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente GmbH will now be distributing the entire Renesas product range throughout Europe. Both companies are working together with particular intensity in the automotive sector: Renesas Electronics has selected Rutronik as its strategic automotive distributor for all of Europe. This means that Rutronik can now also supply automotive customers not previously directly served by Renesas. Other focus markets include Industrial and Renewable Energies.

Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente GmbH is adding to its service portfolio by offering customer advice and support strictly geared to their respective markets. To this end, the broadliner has established six “vertical market teams”. Each team pools the knowledge of all Rutronik Product Divisions in respect of a vertical market. Currently, customers have access to vertical market teams for lighting, medical, renewable energy, industrial, automotive and home appliance.
