With the MIP-500, IPETRONIK is announcing a mobile power station with intelligent energy management for independent on-board supply of measurement systems in the automotive sector. The unit is being presented at the Automotive Testing Expo Europe in Stuttgart. The 12V lead-fleece high-performance battery offers a capacity of 75Ah and is used in all applications where it is necessary to ensure an independent supply for the measurement technology deployed.

IPETRONIK is offering the new communication module COMgate V3 for wireless data transmission in accordance with 4G and LTE standards with its M-LOG V3 data logger. The hardware system is complemented by the IPEcloud web portal, which supports high-speed and secure remote data transmission through to smart fleet management. The M-LOG V3 data logger is for validating and testing development vehicle fleets.

Measuring module offers sampling rates up to 100kHz
The Mx-SENS2 4, a X-LINK module for voltage measurements of up to ±100 V and ICP measurements has been introduced by IPETRONIK. The four-channel analogue measuring module with sensor supply combines high sampling rates of up to 100kHz per channel with time-synchronic data acquisition and ICP-mode for piezoelectric sensors, such as acceleration / vibration and acoustic sensors. Optionally, TEDS sensor detection is supported.

IPETRONIK has made the new IPEmotion Release 2014 R3 available for download. This version allows the use of IPEhub2 as LAN/WLAN CAN interface with storage function and includes IPEmotion App Release 2.10 with support of smartphones and automatic configuration. It also provides extended data export functions like resampling, MIN, MAX and average calculations.

With IPElog, the IPETRONIK-business unit IPEmeasure offers a data logger for particularly high measuring requirements in the mobile data acquisition area. IPElog adds to the successful M-/S-LOG- and FLEETlog-family for consistent further development based on the more than 15 years of experience of IPETRONIK in the field of stand-alone data logger equipment. The new data logger is distinguished by enhanced features and higher performance for data logging. These include, twelve ISO 11898-2-compliant CAN-Bus-measuring inputs, Quick start with No Message Lost-Function, as well as, a removable 1.8-inch-Solid-State-Disk for the storage of large amounts of data. GPRS/UMTS/3G/WiFi-Hardware and a GPS-receiver are integrated for the wireless data-transmission and global positioning. For CAN-protocols there are optional CCP, XCPonCAN, XCPonETH, KWPonCAN and UDS available.

Compact test bench for vehicle AC compressors

The degree of climate comfort afforded by today’s air conditioning systems is outstanding. Electric and hybrid vehicles present entirely new challenges for air conditioning technology, because A/C comfort can directly affect potential range. The series production of electric refrigerant compressors for these vehicle types requires an extended testing process. This program includes performance and durability testing under realistic conditions for development, as well as testing for quality management. To make this possible, IPETRONIK Environmental Testing, Hamburg-based IPETRONIK business unit, has developed a compact compressor test bench to comfortably run standard test cycles for electrically driven refrigerant compressors, as they are commonly used for mechanically driven refrigerant compressors.

Sx-STG from IPETRONIK – high-speed, eight-channel, multi-input analog measurement module with sensor excitation
IPETRONIK has announced the Sx-STG, a fast, eight-channel multi-input analog measurement module that offers sensor excitation. This compact module was designed for mobile measurement applications that face stringent requirements for reliability, flexibility and high sample rates. It supports the user’s choice of one of three different signals per measurement input: voltage, integrated circuit piezoelectric (ICP) sensors, and Strain Gauge (STG) sensors for measurements on 1/4, 1/2 and full bridge circuits. The eight analog inputs are galvanically isolated, and they cover measurement ranges with twelve unipolar and twelve bipolar voltages from ±0.01 V to ±50 V. They achieve a resolution of 16 bits and can withstand voltages of up to ±100 V. Each input has its own dual sensor excitation, which can be set individually up to a maximum of ±15 V with up to ±45 mA. An 8th-order, 4,800-Hz Butterworth filter that can be turned on and off has been integrated as the hardware filter.
