Freescale To Demonstrate End-To-End Connected Solutions For Smart Metering At DistribuTECH

Freescale plans to demonstrate a broad set of solutions for the smart grid market at the DistribuTECH Conference & Exhibition in San Diego, Calif., taking place Jan. 29-31. At the Freescale booth (#1145), attendees will see Freescale technology supporting the “last mile” of smart grid ecosystem, including Internet of Things-accessible devices.

Freescale Achieves New ZigBee PRO And ZigBee Input Device Certification

Freescale has achieved Golden Unit certification by the ZigBee Alliance for the new ZigBee 2012 specification and ZigBee Input Device standard. Freescale is one of the first ZigBee Alliance members to achieve the Golden Unit status supporting the latest ZigBee specification’s update to the ZigBee PRO Feature Set and the ZigBee Input Device standard for ZigBee RF4CE. Both implementations passed independent testing conducted by third parties.

Xtrinsic Radar Transmitter from Freescale Improves Performance, Cost and Complexity of Automotive Active Safety Systems

Freescale Semiconductor today introduced the new Xtrinsic PRDTX11101 automotive radar transmitter for active safety applications, such as adaptive cruise control. The industry’s first 77 GHz silicon germanium (SiGe) BiCMOS transmitter features an integrated voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) and power amplifier for greater control, reduced system design complexity and lower system costs.
