A new EDG valve block has been launched by Bosch Rexroth to translate IT commands into physical movement sequences for customised, connected warehouse processes. With the Internet of Things (IoT) fast becoming ubiquitous, the technology is making big inroads into the logistics industry.

At the Industry 4.0 Summit Bosch Rexroth will be showcasing a number of award-winning connected solutions. From 28th February until 1st March 2018, Bosch Rexroth will display a range of systems and solutions on stand H10 – helping to make machines fit for the future. Delegates will have the opportunity to interact with latest advanced manufacturing technologies, as well as exploring the benefits of connectivity.

For those who dislike parking, worry no more; manual parking is now a thing of the past. At the Mercedes-Benz Museum parking garage in Stuttgart, Bosch and Daimler have made automated valet parking a reality. With a command from a smartphone, drivers can now automatically park cars in their assigned spots without having to monitor the vehicles’ movements. Automated valet parking is an important milestone on the road to autonomous driving.
