With the E522.0x ICs, ELMOS presents step-down converters designed strictly for low sleep mode and standby currents and high efficiency. The integrated circuits need only 8µA in sleep mode and 12µA in standby mode.
The input voltage range is between 4.5V and 40V at output currents of up to 1A. Depending on the component, the product family supports fixed voltages of 3.3V or rather 5V and variable output voltages of 1.5V up to input voltage. Efficiency is above 90%.

The DC/DC converters feature an integrated power MOSFET and require only a very small number of external components.

Application examples for the E522.0x family are power supply for microcontroller systems, dashboards in vehicles, or CAN partial networks.

By using the PFM method, outstanding response time, stability and high efficiency are achieved over the entire voltage and output current range.

A power good signal and a voltage-proof enable pin are provided as well, allowing the interconnection of several 522.0x components in defined power-up sequencing.

The step-down converters are available in QFN20L4 or TSSOP16 packages. They are qualified according to AEC-Q100 and have an ambient temperature range of -40 to +125°C.
