TT electronics has launched the next generation of its moulded inductor devices.  The HM72E and HA72E are engineered for high performance and cost effectiveness and will utilise proprietary blends of alloy core materials that are optimised for high temperature stability, high dc bias capability, low core losses as well as minimising oxidation

Designers of industrial and automotive DC/DC converters and other power applications where high power density is a requirement will benefit from the rust resistant over-moulded construction and the wide operating temperature rating.   The new moulded inductors are operational from -40oC to +155oC making them ideal for powertrain applications where environmental conditions are demanding.

Both devices are targeted at designers who require a buck, boost or buck-boost inductor for voltage regulation at fast switching frequencies up to 3MHz but also need to save space.  Additionally, the HA72E series is qualified to AEC-Q200 certification for automotive applications.  Further features of the range include DC bias current of up to 45A and inductance levels ranging from 0.10uH to 33uH at a maximum dimension of 6.8 x 7.3 x 3mm (LxWxH).

The HM72E and HM72E series are available globally from TT electronics’ distribution channel partners:
