KOA’s UR73V-series thick film low ohm resistors are designed for current detection, especially in demanding environments. The special facedown construction makes lower resistance values with a low T.C.R. possible.

The low T.C.R of the UR73V-series and its wide operating temperature range of -55 to 155°C make it suitable for applications such as automotive or high reliability DC/DC converters.

The T.C.R. of ±75ppm/K is specified for resistance values between 15-75mΩ in 1206 size. The UR73V-series is available from 10-100mΩ and is available in 0805 and 1206 sizes.

The facedown construction means that the total T.C.R. is minimised due to the shorter current path in the electrodes and solder fillet.

Key features:

  • 10-100mΩ
  • 0.5W (0805 size), 0.75W (1206 size)
  • AEC-Q200 qualified
  • ±1% tolerance
  • Lower cost alternative to metal plate parts
  • Standard and face down type available
  • Improved high temperature reliability (operating temperature -55 to 155°C)

The resistors are suitable for a range of applications including automotive (including ‘under the hood’ applications such as ECUs), power supplies, DC/DC converters, motor controls, industrial automation, meter and LED Lighting.
