TDK has enhanced its portfolio of EPCOS SMT inductors in case size 2220 (EIA), with the introdcution of the new SIMID 2220-T (B82442T*) series. Operating over a wide automotive temperature range from -55°C to 150°C, the new RoHS-compatible components feature a current capability of between 46 mA and 3510 mA, and DC resistances of between 25 mΩ and 112 Ω.

Covering inductance values ranging from 1.0 μH to 10 000 μH (E12 series), the new inductors are AEC-Q200 qualified and reflow-solderable to the JEDEC J-STD 020 standard. A liquid crystal polymer molding enables the components to withstand extreme thermal and mechanical stresses. Featuring a high current capability, the very robust new inductors are well suited for the filtering, coupling and decoupling of supply voltages, as well as for use as storage chokes in DC-DC converters.

The very robust new inductors feature a high current capability. Target applications for the new SIMID 2220-T (B82442T*) series inductors are available now with dimensions of 5.6 mm x 5.0 mm x 5.0 mm.
