The TAS5720A-Q1 from Texas Instruments is a mono I2S input Class-D audio amplifier which is suited for use in automotive emergency call (eCall), telematics, acoustic vehicle alerting system (AVAS) and EV/HEV sound generation applications. The device provides up to 25W instantaneous power into 4Ω at ten percent THD+N at 14.4V.

The TAS6422-Q1 device from Texas Instruments is a two-channel digital-input Class-D audio amplifier designed for use in automotive head units and external amplifier modules. The device provides two channels at 27W into 4Ω at 10% THD+N and 45W into 2Ω at 10% THD+N from a 14.4V supply and 75W into 4Ω at ten percent THD+N from a 25V supply.

P-channel MOSFETs enhance board reliability
-30V and -40V Automotive Grade p-channel TrenchFET power MOSFETs in the PowerPAK SO-8L package with gullwing leads for increased board-level reliability have been introduced by Vishay Intertechnology. Providing more than a 50% reduction in mounting area compared to devices in the DPAK, the AEC-Q101 qualified SQJ407EP and SQJ409EP save PCB space and lower costs while delivering lower on-resistance than any MOSFET with gullwing leads in the 5mm by 6mm footprint.
