Chomerics Addresses Automotive, Telecom and Aerospace Shielding and Thermal Challenges at Electronica 2012
Chomerics Europe - a division of Parker Hannifin, will be exhibiting and demonstrating some of the industry’s most advanced shielding, thermal management and optical window technologies for addressing complex and challenging applications in electronics equipment at this year’s Electronica in Munich.

Chomerics is able to solve applications in all sectors of electronics, however the main areas in which it provides customers with solutions are automotive, telecoms and aerospace. The emergence and growth of hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) and pure electric vehicles (EVs) has increased the challenges for automotive engineers in a sector where increasing electronic content already meant that heat management and shielding were a significant design challenge. In telecoms, advancing handset technology and the high performance demands placed on infrastructure continue to demand innovative solutions from Chomerics’ engineers. The company’s large and diverse range of materials that includes thermal products such as dispensable gels and elastomeric gap filling pads, and shielding materials ranging from moulded and extruded gaskets to highly conductive spray on coatings, comprehensively address these markets.

As well as needing thermal and shielding materials, aerospace, defence, and also the medical market, increasingly make use of the company’s market leading shielded optical windows. Manufactured using unique specialist processes, Chomerics’ optical windows address the need to maintain shielding integrity while allowing displays to be viewed in all operating environments.
