ant to continue this tradition at the 15th congress to be held on 12th and 13th October 2011. But its success as the event for exchanging and sharing innovative approaches and novel findings will rest completely on your personal contribution as an author and/or presenter. We have again selected focal topics which will offer much leeway and scope to welcome contributions submitted also by speakers from SME's and engineering service providers. The field of electromobility is highly dynamic; therefore, we felt that we should include this subject as a focal topic of the 2011 congress. We hope for examples taken from practical engineering and production to highlight the full range from the component to the vehicle. The subject of China as a challenge, both as a market-place and a future competitor, will be one of the new focal topics. We think that we should take up this challenge. You will show us how to do it. I am very curious about your personal ideas.
It is up to the next generation of engineers to ensure a successful future for the industry. As before, we will therefore give the Young Engineers' Award Auto-Electronic-Excellence-Baden-Baden 2011 to the three best young speakers.
