Measurement Specialties has just released its new U7100 pressure transducer for high volume industrial, engine and vehicle applications. Offering a pressure range from 0 to 15, up to 150 psi (10 Bar), this rugged automotive grade stainless steel pressure sensor has an operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C and is water resistant up to 1M immersion.

This durable pressure sensor is suitable for measurement of liquid or gas pressure, even for difficult media such as contaminated water, steam and corrosive fluids. Applications include, but are not limited to: on and off highway engines and vehicles, HVAC refrigeration controls, energy and water management, compressors and hydraulics.

The U7100 pressure cavity is machined from a solid piece of 17-4 PH stainless steel so no o-rings or organics are present that could be exposed to the pressure media. Featuring a ±0.25% accuracy and ±1.0% TEB, the U7100 has a 0.5 – 4.5 Vdc ratiometric output and is shipped with either a Packard, Sumitomo, or AMP connector. Ease of installation is insured with a wide selection of optional pressure port threads. This durable pressure transducer exceeds the latest industrial CE requirements including surge protection and provides overvoltage protection to 16 Vdc for both positive and reverse polarity. It can withstand up to 50g shock, 20g vibration, and offers excellent stability.
