Allowing double-decker trains and trains which travel in tunnels to be upgraded to the 4G/LTE standard, the SENCITY Rail MIMO antenna has been introduced by HUBER+SUHNER. The antenna, which is 40mm in height, is suitable for the European market as it supports a frequency range of 790-2700MHz.

In a single compact housing, the antenna consists of two broadband radiating elements for 2G/3G/4G mobile communication. The omni-directional antenna is particularly suitable for system integrators and rail vehicle manufacturers who want to establish high-data-rate applications such as on-board internet, CCTV or repeater systems in the train. According to HUBER+SUHNER, when using the SENCITY Rail MIMO antenna, customers can achieve a far higher data rate compared to standard antennas.

Customers who have installed HUBER+SUHNER's SENCITY Rail low profile antenna can replace it with the MIMO antenna quickly and easily, as it uses the same mounting system. Developed specifically for the railway market, the antenna is robust and meets the environmental requirements of EN 50155 and the fire safety requirements of EN 45545-2.
