To meet the demands of highly reliable and scalable communications systems under harsh environment, at InnoTrans 2016, Lanner will showcase its LVR-8300, a fanless highly modularised 3U rail communication system packing with EN50155 compliant endurance, high performance CPU, multiple M12-protected I/O modules and an abundance of data storage spaces, making it an ideal railway/MRT communication system to operate as the brain of intelligent rolling stock.

Assured 24/7 reliability, wide range operating temperature and long-time vibration endurance are major concerns for rolling stock business and LVR-8300 has been EN50155 complaint for endurances against shock, vibration, temperature (-20~60°C), humidity and surge.

With the 4th Generation Intel Core i5 4422E CPU (codenamed Haswell), Lanner LVR-8300is able to handle high-volume data transmissions and process multimedia contents efficiently.

LVR-8300 also features up to 16x M12 PoE ports which allow easy integration of networking devices such WiFi access points and/or PoE surveillance camera for in-train WiFi sharing and remote video surveillance and monitoring applications.

LVR-8300 is a highly scalable system with 4 modular expansion slots for Internet access, sensors connectivity, passenger information, wayside communications and on-board train management.

These modules provide diverse I/O configurations, including serial COM, GPIO, USB, VGA/HDMI and the mini-PCIe sockets designed with SIM card readers for WiFi/3G/LTE connectivity. To store the large volume of video contents from infotainment or surveillance systems, LVR-8300 also offers 4 swappable 2.5” drive bays for video data storage.
