  Nominations are now closed for Altair’s 5th Enlighten Award. After the review and screening, 29 nominations qualified as finalists for the judges’ review, with four submissions in the full vehicle category, 15 in the module category and ten in this year’s new enabling technology category.

During the German home round of Team ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport in Berlin on 10th-11th June, Schaeffler and Audi agreed on an extensive cooperation in the development of the powertrain for the next three generations of the Formula E race car. Schaeffler Chief Technology Officer Prof. Peter Gutzmer and Peter Mertens, Member of the Board of Management, Technical Development AUDI AG, signed a three-year agreement in Berlin-Tempelhof.

'Future Energy' takes the wheel at EXPO 2017
At the EXPO 2017, Schaeffler will be presenting two exhibits. This year's motto is 'Future Energy' and more than five million visitors are expected to attend the global exhibition, which is being held in Central Asia for the first time ever. Schaeffler is showcasing two exhibits at the EXPO 2017, the E-Wheel Drive wheel hub drive and a 1:11 scale Formula E model, as official partner of the working group insglück, gtp2 architekten, and mac for the German Pavilion. The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy is responsible for Germany’s participation in the EXPO.
