SCADA software for substations and tunnel infrastructures will be showcased by COPA-DATA at the 2014 International Trade Fair for Transport Technology (InnoTrans). At the event the company will demonstrate the advantages of its zenon SCADA software, which takes on the role of a control system and makes it possible to monitor and manage railway and tunnel systems in a modern way.

The software can portray the traffic management systems and guarantee energy and media supply, including electricity supply and ventilation. Features include comprehensive topology functions, secure command input and flexible, effective alarm management.

Unrestricted communication and redundancy, which are crucial for implementing reliable and secure railway and infrastructure projects, are provided by the zenon SCADA software. The demonstration will explain how the software is optimally suited for power station and substation automation, grid control systems, railroad traffic systems and tunnel automation.

The software was developed in accordance with both Safety Integrity Levels (SIL) requirements and international standards, including IEC 61850, IEC 60870, DNP3 and Modbus.

The 2014 InnoTrans will take place on 23rd and 26th September at the Messe, Berlin. COPA-DATA will be on Booth 302 in Hall 6.2.

"With zenon and straton, operators of infrastructure can set up an integrated control solution for smart traffic systems, create a flexible network structure for energy supply and operate the traffic infrastructure safely and ergonomically," explains Jürgen Resch, Industry Manager for Energy and Infrastructure at COPA-DATA.
