New advances in DC charging technology enabling the future of e-mobility will be showcased by ITT Cannon at EVS 30, the Electric Vehicle Symposium and Exhibition (Oct. 9-11) in Stuttgart, Germany. Expanding on ITT Cannon’s EV charging portfolio is the liquid cooled DC High Power Charging (HPC) solution. This intellectual property protected solution is comprised of a connector, cable and cooling unit.

The ITT Cannon HPC solution enables charging up to 500A at 1,000V potentially delivering a 60-mile charge in as little as three to five minutes. A dielectric cooling liquid runs from the cable throughout the connector’s contact system resulting in excellent heat dissipation performance.

The result is a weight-optimised cable design and minimised cable diameter – delivering a highly flexible, ergonomic and easy-to-use solution for the global e-mobility market.

The copany will also show its Un-Cooled DC Standard Charging Solution which is available in CCS1 and CCS2 variants, enables charging up to 200A and complements ITT Cannon’s DC High Power Charging solution and AC solutions.

In accordance with all key global standards – IEC, SAE and GB/T– ITT offers a comprehensive line of AC connectors, plugs, inlets and outlets that are fully customisable.

In addition, ITT Cannon is sharing e-mobility industry expertise with EVS 30 attendees at the symposium. ITT Cannon senior product manager Ralf Glocker is presenting “Using Liquid Cooling to Minimise Temperature Impact in High Power Charging Systems” at the symposium on Oct. 11. Ralf Glocker will present research results and advances in technology related to HPC development.
