With the M-LOG V3, IPETRONIK offers 3rd gen data loggers for high measurement requirements in the mobile data acquisition field, based on the latest Intel Atom E620T processor and with 1024MB of RAM. This version is characterised by maximum power resources for online-offsetting and data storage during stationary and mobile test, providing performance increases in complex applications using detailed configurations.

With CFast the M-LOG V3 obtains a removable storage medium with up to 64GB data volume and a SATA port for fast access to the saved data. Another highlight of the configurable and upgradeable hardware design is the integrated speed option, which reduces the CPU load on the CAN card by preprocessing the measurement signals.

The M-LOG V3 uses RTOS-32 with TESTdrive, further characteristics including the twelve ISO-11898-2 compliant CAN channels, two Fast Ethernet (100 Base-TX) measurement inputs, two USB 2.0 ports, four digital I/Os as well as an intelligent power manager that supports WakeOnCAN and NoMeassageLost function on all CAN-inputs. The transfer of online measurement data to IPEmotion, ETAS INCA, Vector CANape and many other tools is carried out over CAN or XCPonETH. All adjustments in the measurement configuration can be made conveniently via the Windows IPEmotion software. Optionally, the XCPonEthernet, KWPonCAN, CCP 2.0, XCPonCAN, UDS, J1939 and OBD2 protocols are available. For wireless data transmission, IPETRONIK offers the COMgate as an extension module.

The data logger has a high quality and golden anodised aluminium housing with compact dimensions (158x69x102mm). It is manufactured in accordance with IP54 and weighs only 850g. The M-Log V3 operates in the temperature range of -40 up to +85°C at a relative humidity of 5 to 95%. Voltage of 9-36VDC is required for the power supply. A low power consumption of typically 9W, as well as no rotating parts like cooling fans or hard disks, make the logger even more suitable for automotive use. All measuring inputs, power supply and the housing are completely galvanically isolated from each other. All connections are 100% compatible with the existing infrastructure by maintaining the standard plug connections. This allows an one-to-one change of the central hardware components without any time-consuming rewiring or costly reconstruction.

Harry Störzer, Head of Application & Support, IPETRONIK, commented: “With the M-LOG V3 we enhance our successful M-LOG family by adding an even more efficient data logger. Because of the latest generation AtomT processor, the data logger operates with higher performance and therefore with more reserves for data acquisition compared to current systems. With new functions and significant increase in performance, IPETRONIK’s M-LOG V3 is the solution for automobile development departments, which need to measure multiple CAN buses with lots of measuring signals and/or high data rates.”
