DENSO has announced it will exhibit at the 24th ITS World Congress 2017, October 29th to November 2nd, in Montreal, Canada, under the theme "Automated Driving, Connected Driving Technologies and Systems for Safe and Reliable Mobility." DENSO's exhibit is located in booth 600. DENSO is focused on developing automated driving technologies that will help to deliver safe, reliable and flexible mobility for all people, as well as enable the efficient transportation of goods.

Head Up Displays to limit vehicular accidents in the future
To project critical driving information onto the windshield for drivers, Denso has developed a Thin Film Transistor (TFT), liquid-crystal Head Up Display (HUD). This Human Machine Interface (HMI) is what the company claims to be the world's largest automotive head-up display with a nearly 24" projection. The product will be released in November 2017 and featured on the new 2018 Lexus LS.

  DENSO has announced that it has developed a 24GHz submillimetre-wave rear and side radar sensor to help enhance vehicle safety systems. The sensor is used in the 2018 Toyota Camry released this past July.

DENSO looks to advance its artificial intelligence technology

In an effort to deepen and advance its knowledge in artificial intelligence, DENSO has entered into a technical advisory contract with one of the world's foremost researchers in computer vision, Carnegie Mellon University Professor Dr. Takeo Kanade. Through this contract, DENSO is looking to advance its artificial intelligence technology and expand its engineering expertise in the areas of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), autonomous drive, and the IoT.
