Suitable for high voltage automotive electronics in both standard & hybrid electric vehicles, the X7R High Voltage Automotive MLCCs have been introduced by AVX. The AEC-Q200 qualified capacitors are rated for 630-3000V, capacitance values of 100pF-0.15µF and are available in 1206-2220 chip sizes.

Featuring low ESR, excellent performance across all voltages, and FLEXITERM terminations for enhanced mechanical reliability, end applications for the capacitors include: snubbers, resonators, filters, and DC blocking caps in high voltage multipliers; high frequency power converters; and switch mode power supplies. Operating over a temperature range from -55 to +125°C, the High Voltage Automotive MLCC Series is commercially available in voltages of 630, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500 and 3000V and in chip sizes of 1206, 1210, 1808, 1812, 1825 and 2220. Nonstandard chip sizes are available upon request.

The series is also available with two termination options: plated Ni/Sn and FLEXITERM. Both RoHS compliant, the FLEXITERM termination offers significantly enhanced resistance to mechanical stress by allowing for more than twice as much board flexure as standard terminations.

Compatible with SpiCap 3.0 SPICE modeling software, AVX’s High Voltage Automotive MLCC Series is available with standard lead times. Samples, kits, pricing, and AEC-Q200 qualification data are available upon request.
