Providing a wide range of inductance values from 0.22 to 15µH, Vishay has announced two IHLP high-current inductors in the 2020 case size. The IHLP-2020CZ-51 and automotive-grade IHLP-2020CZ-5A are suited for voltage regulator modules and DC/DC converters in high-temperature commercial and automotive applications.

The IHLP-2020CZ-51 targets servers, notebooks, POL converters, distributed power systems and low-profile, high-current power supplies; while the AEC-Q200-qualified IHLP-2020CZ-5A is suitable for engine and transmission control units, diesel injection drivers, entertainment and navigation systems, noise suppression for motors, windscreen wipers, HID and LED lighting, heating and ventilation blowers, power seats and mirrors.

Offering low profiles of 3mm and a frequency range up to 1MHz, the inductors operate over a temperature range from -55 to +155°C. The IHLP-2020CZ-51 and IHLP-2020CZ-5A handle high transient current spikes without hard saturation.

Packaged in an RoHS-compliant and lead-free shielded, composite construction that reduces buzz noise to ultra-low levels, the devices offer high resistance to thermal shock, moisture, mechanical shock and vibration.

Samples and production quantities are available now, with lead times of 10-12 weeks for large orders.
