Developed specifically for automotive applications, the 2520 size XRCHA series signals the expansion of Murata America's Hybrid Crystal Resonator family. The resonator is a 100% quartz crystal unit which meets the stringent reliability requirements for this market.

Featuring frequency precision of +/- 250ppm, the crystal resonator also delivers nominal operating frequencies in the 12MHz to 24MHz range and an operating temperature of -40º C to +125º C. Measuring just 2.5mm x 2.0mm x 0.8mm, the XRCHA series is also AEC-Q200 qualified and RoHS compliant.

These characteristics enable the automotive HCR to meet the frequency accuracy required for powertrain and safety applications, as well as for CAN Bus and Flexray in-vehicle networks. In addition to a 2520 package, the crystal resonator also delivers improved ESR levels. These features afford design engineers with a robust and cost competitive product available in a compact size.

“Today’s automotive market is continually shaped by factors such as advanced applications, the demand for a decreased footprint and cost, and the ability to maintain high reliability in a harsh operating environment. Through Murata’s exclusive packaging technology, the XRCHA series achieves this, offering an all-around superior product,” commented Amanda Milewski, Business Development Engineer, Device Product, Murata Americas.
