Two smart, lightweight Ninebot by Segway KickScooters have been introduced by the company to mark the latest expansion of its consumer product lines. The e-scooters will be exhibited at IFA 2017 from 1st-6th September in Berlin, Germany.

“Each KickScooter leverages a smartphone app and delivers other convenient features that meet the riding preferences of today’s savvy consumers in distinct target markets,” said Dennis Hardholt, President, Segway Europe. “We’re confident response to our KickScooters will be excellent.”

“We’re excited to serve another rapidly growing consumer market segment with our KickScooters and to introduce these new products at IFA in Europe, one of the world’s largest consumer electronics shows,” said Richard van Santen, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Segway Europe. There are two models in the range:

ES1 - The ES1 scooter has a maximum speed of 20kph, with a range of approximately 25km. It also features an LED digital display, anti-lock brake system and cruise control.

ES2 - The ES2 model can reach a maximum speed of approximately 25kph, with a maximum range of up to 25km. Its rear shock absorption ensures a comfortable ride and its customisable ambient and rear lights allow riders to be seen in low light.

Both KickScooters are lightweight and feature a one touch folding system. They can be easily carried on public transportation or stored in a car, which allows a rider to commute practically or just ride for fun. Riders also have the option to upgrade either e-scooter with an optional second battery. This allows for travel of up to 45km, and enables ES2 riders to reach speeds of up to 30kph, travel further and take on slightly steeper inclines. Ninebot by Segway KickScooters will be available in Q4 2017.
